We are thrilled to be taking part in a study that will provide more data about the benefits of combining acupuncture and other complementary therapies with Western fertility treatments. Here at the Yinova Center, we have enjoyed building close relationships with doctors and many of the reproductive medical centers in our area. One of these, Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York (RMA of NY) has collaborated with us to create a survey exploring the use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapies in combination with fertility treatments.
Data gathered from surveys like this and published in medical journals help doctors worldwide understand the importance of having their patients use therapies like acupuncture and herbs to enhance treatment outcomes. It also gives you the opportunity to voice your experiences with these therapies and tells doctors how important you think it is for them to communicate with your other practitioners.
Anyone who has used acupuncture, herbs, massage, or other alternative therapies in order to conceive is welcome to participate. You do not have to be a patient at the Yinova Center or RMA. This survey may lead to a more in-depth study on the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbs in combination with fertility treatments, which can help the medical community understand the importance of this integrative approach.
