Finding Energy, Strength and Renewal in Mid-Life
I’m 45, which in my grandmother’s time was considered middle-aged. I’m glad I was born at this time, because I have benefited from great health care throughout my life and, like many of you, I still feel young and active. Our patients in their 40′s have varied aims reflecting the power women now have over their reproductive lives. Some are like me and have college age kids. Some have no kids at all and are working on staying healthy and others come to see us to enhance their fertility so that they can conceive. We are proud and happy to serve you all.

Here at the YinOva Center, we understand that the word perimenopause can make you feel old! However it is true that our cycles change as we move through our 40′s. Many of our patients in their 40′s are trying to conceive and many of them go on to have healthy babies. The key to navigating this decade successfully is to take care of your health. Women in their 20′s can get away with taking some health risks without too many consequences. By the time we reach our 40′s our bodies need a lot more support. This is particularly true if you are wanting to get pregnant.
This is also the decade when you can set the stage for a trouble free menopause. Now is the time to come in and let us help you deal with niggling health problems. Acting now will make the next transition an easier one. Our patients in their 40′s seek us out to treat:
- Irregular cycles
- Heavy periods
- Weight gain
- Sleep disturbances
- Fatigue
- Infertility
- Stress and anxiety
Our aim is for you to have a smooth transition at menopause but if you suffer from symptoms please come and see us. Our practitioners are experienced at handling a variety of menopausal symptoms such as:
- Hot flashes
- Night sweats
- Mood swings
- Irritability fatigue
The Chinese have a theory that our periods stop so that the blood can be sent back to the heart so we can cultivate wisdom and compassion. At the YinOva Center, we aim to demystify menopause and give this transition the respect it deserves.
